Tryp Cafe Shelves

The cafe shelves were conceived from the need for the interior designers at Desmone to have a shelf system in place that allowed for them to meet code. The code that states that no object may protrude from a wall more than 4” in a trafficked area. The hinge point attached to the wrought iron bracket allows for the shelves to hinge up and rest against the back plate. The backplate has a small magnet inside of it that captures the shelf and holds its center of gravity away from its tipping point. In series the pieces add a dynamic texture to the space
